Buffs Host Potts Indoor Invitational

BOULDER-The University of Colorado track and field team will host the Potts Indoor Invitational on Friday and Saturday, January 16-17, at Balch Fieldhouse.

The meet will start on Friday at 1 p.m. All of the field events except for the throws will be contested on Friday. The women's long jump is the first scheduled event at 1 p.m. and the men's triple jump is the last event of the day at 5 p.m. Saturday will start at 10 a.m. with the men's weight throw and the women's shot put. The track events will start at 2 p.m. with the men's 60-meter dash preliminary round. The final event scheduled is the women's 4x400-meter relay at 5:40 p.m.

The Buffs will host several teams along the Front Range, including Colorado State, Colorado School of Mines and Metro State.

Admission to the meet is free. Upper level seating will be closed during the meet, but the second level east and south walkways will be available to spectators, coaches and athletes. Additional seating will be provided on the infield for spectators and team camps. A complete meet schedule is available at CUBuffs.com.

Donations for student-athlete Kyle MacIntosh will be accepted at the meet from 2-4 p.m. on Friday and 1-5 p.m. on Saturday. Fans who give a minimum donation of $10 will receive a t-shirt. MacIntosh was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma in December 2013 and the day after Christmas in 2014, he suffered a brain aneurism. He is currently receiving care at Children's Hospital in Aurora.
