Wright Attends Walter Camp All-America Weekend

TUCSON, Ariz. University of Arizona Wildcat football’s Scooby Wright III was invited to attend the Walter Camp All-America Weekend from Friday, Jan. 16 to Sunday, Jan. 18. The sophomore was named to the Walter Camp All-American team along with the other four required All-America teams, making him the first unanimous All-American since cornerback Chris McAlister in 1998.

Wright also collected the Bronko Nagurski Award, the Rotary Lombardi Award, the Bednarik Award, the College Football Performance Awards National Linebacker of the Year and was also named the Pat Tillman Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. He also earned first-team All-America honors from USA Today, SB Nation, CBSSports.com, Scout.com and Athlon Sports.

The sophomore finished the year with 163 total tackles (99 unassisted and 64 assisted), 29.0 tackles for a loss, 14 sacks and six forced fumbles, all team highs. Wright finished the 2014 campaign third in the nation in forced fumbles, fourth in the nation in sacks, first in the nation in tackles for a loss and fifth in the nation in total tackles.

For fans looking to become new season ticket holders, deposits are currently being accepted for the 2015 football season. Deposits are $50 per seat and seat locations are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Current season ticket holders will receive renewal information later this month.
