Roundup: Marcus Mariota signs with Titans

At long last, the Tennessee Titans and Marcus Mariota agreed to terms on a contract, the team announced Tuesday. Mariota was the last unsigned first-round draft pick.


Sweet- the St. Louis Cardinals called up Stephen Piscotty, the former Stanford player who is the Cards’ top hitting prospect.


Sources tell ESPN’s Marc Stein that former Arizona Wildcat Richard Jefferson is nearing a one-year deal with the Cavaliers after committing to re-sign with Dallas earlier in July. First De’Andre, now Richard? Not a good offseason for the Mavs.


Former Colorado quarterback Joel Klatt has been moved to the No. 1 broadcast team for FOX college games, joining Gus Johnson and replacing Charles Davis, who will now take a spot in an NFL booth for FOX.


Adam Jude reports that Washington linebacker Drew Lewis has been dismissed from the team for an undisclosed violation of team rules by coach Chris Petersen.

Washington State

Washington State men’s basketball will open with Oklahoma on Dec. 22 in its first game of the 2015 Diamond Head Classic in Hawaii. The Sooners went to the Sweet 16 last season.
