Roundup: Pete Carroll says he's not returning to USC

With rumors swirling around, Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll says he won’t return to USC as head coach of the Trojans’ football team. It has been said that Carroll is on USC's short list of potential candidates.

UCLA

UCLA cornerback Ishmael Adams has been charged with misdemeanor battery for a dust-up he had with an Uber driver in August. According to the Associated Press report, the charge does not include theft.

Pac-12

The Pac-12 announced Tuesday the addition of the Student-Athlete Leadership Team (SALT) to the Pac-12 Council, making the Pac-12 the first major conference to integrate student-athletes into the conference’s voting governance structure. Washington running back Deontae Cooper and Oregon State basketball player Malcolm Duvivier are some of the more well-known names on the 24-athlete SALT roster.

Zack Rosenblatt of the Arizona Daily Star reports that Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez is upset about another late start for the Wildcats – it was announced Monday that Arizona will play at 8 p.m. PT on Halloween against Washington on the road. As if playing 12 straight weeks without a bye wasn’t tough enough…

Starting Utah tight end Siale Fakailoatonga is out for the year after suffering an undisclosed injury in the win Saturday night against Arizona State.

Hmm… “College GameDay” is considering coming to Washington State for the Oct. 31 game against Stanford, notes Jacob Thorpe. WSU-Stanford is one of eight games under consideration by GameDay producers. It’s only fitting for GameDay to come to Pullman.
