Washington

Christian Caple tells us why Washington will end its losing streak to Oregon this year. The Dawgs have lost 12 straight to the Ducks but have never been better primed to take down Oregon (if it does happen, imagine the headlines that will surround a 2-4 Oregon team…).

Colorado

It’s sounding like Mike MacIntyre might make a game-time decision on who starts at quarterback for Colorado against USC. Sefo Liufau is working his way back from a right ankle sprain, while Steven Montez has filled in admirably the last two weeks.

Arizona

Arizona quarterback Brandon Dawkins is questionable to play against Utah, reports Michael Lev. Anu Solomon is doubtful, so if it ain’t Dawkins, it will most likely be Khalil Tate making his first start in a Wildcat uniform.

Arizona State

Wait - what’s Percy Allen doing writing an article on an Arizona State player? The Seattle Times writer spends this notebook piece telling us that Arizona State kicker Zane Gonzalez is close to the NCAA’s all-time field goal record. Gonzalez needs three FGs to break the record of 88 career made FGs by Dustin Hopkins of Florida State (2009-2012), and he needs 20 points to break Hopkins’ FBS record of 466.

USC

No. 7 USC women’s soccer defeated top-ranked Stanford 3-0 Thursday night, marking the first time in program history that the Trojans have beaten a top-ranked team (granted, Stanford was without its starting keeper in Jane Campbell, who was sitting out the match because of a red card she got against Washington, but still, kudos to Keidane McAlpine and Co.). Some week for USC women’s sports, with the volleyball squad getting win No. 1,000 Wednesday night.

Stanford

David Lombardi writes that Stanford football will play fearlessly following their forgettable performance against Washington. The Cougs come to town for a Saturday night affair.

Oregon

Andrew Greif gives us the skinny on the episode of ”The Drive” featuring Oregon football on Pac-12 Networks – it airs Friday at 10:30 p.m. PT on Pac-12 Networks and 11:30 p.m. PT on Pac-12 Oregon. Be warned - it’s footage from the loss to Colorado, so maybe it won’t be the happiest of memories for you, Duck fan.

Oregon State

To get you ready for the Beavers’ game against Cal, take a look at Victor Bolden’s video game-style punt return capabilities. Well done, Pac-12 Networks feature crew.

California

So much of the talk has been about Chad Hansen, but don’t forget about Cal wide receiver Demetris Robinson, featured here by Rusty Simmons. The freshman has 15 grabs for 309 yards and five touchdowns this season, with eight of those grabs, 200 of those yards and four of those touchdowns coming in the last two games.

UCLA

Thuc Nhi Nguyen features UCLA defensive tackle Boss Tagaloa, the first ever freshman to play varsity football at De La Salle who is now a frosh for Jim Mora and Friends. Let’s see what he can do against Arizona State this weekend.

Utah

Mike Sorensen of the Deseret News tells us about the hot start for Utah women’s soccer in Pac-12 play. The Utes got results in each of their first three Pac-12 matches, all of which were on the road (Utah defeated Oregon State at home Thursday night to get to 3-0-1 in conference action and 8-2-2 overall).

Washington State

Jesse Woodhead of The Daily Evergreen sits down with Washington State volleyball’s Taylor Mims, the reigning Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, for this feature article.
