Former Cal swimmer and 12-time Olympic medalist Natalie Coughlin spoke to the Cal football team Thursday, and California Golden Blogs has a little blurb about it.


The two-time defending national champion Stanford men’s soccer team is ranked No. 1 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll, it was announced Thursday.


Meanwhile, defending national champion USC women’s soccer is ranked third in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll, with Stanford coming in just ahead of the Trojans at No. 2.

Oregon State

With Ryan Tannehill out with an injured left knee, former Oregon State quarterback Matt Moore is the Miami Dolphins’ No. 1 quarterback “right now,” head coach Adam Gase said Friday.
