Who will be the nation's top running back this season? Seven ESPN writers chimed in and four of them picked a certain Cardinal ballcarrier. 


Coors Events Center is no more in Boulder, via Well, the building is still there, but now it's called the CU Events Center. A very fond farewell to The Keg.


From Norman Xiong, a former Oregon golfer, makes his pro debut Thursday on the PGA Tour in West Virginia. He's joined by two more former Ducks, Ben Crane and Aaron Wise. 

Oregon State

Kevin Abel, whose performance in Game 3 of the College World Series was one for the record books, was named National Freshman of the Year on Thursday by D1Baseball. Pretty impressive stuff for Abel, the first pitcher in NCAA history to win four games at the CWS.

Arizona State

Four ASU women's golfers have been awarded academic All-American honors by the Women's Golf Coaches Association. Sophia Zeeb and Roberta Liti are four-year honorees. Big kudos to those two.


Some staffing news in the Cal beach volleyball program via Derek Olson has been promoted to associate head coach after joining as an assistant coach last fall. 


Red Rocks fans, let's rock! Utah gymnastics has released its schedule for the 2019 season. The Utes will host Penn State in their season opener in early January.
