Washington State

Ah yes, there’s the coach we all know and love – Mike Leach said having an even split of run and pass plays is “50 percent stupid.” The Cougs rushed for a grand total of zero yards in their 28-24 win over Utah on Saturday.

Arizona State

Not only was he named Pac-12 Player of the Week, but Arizona State running back Eno Benjamin was named Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week after rushing for a school-record 312 yards in the Sun Devils’ 52-24 win over Oregon State Saturday night.

Stanford

Stanford women’s soccer star freshman Sophia Smith was named TopDrawerSoccer National Player of the Week, it was announced Tuesday, while Alison Jahansouz was named Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week.

UCLA

Dorian Thompson-Robinson? Wilson Speight? UCLA football coach Chip Kelly isn’t saying who will start at quarterback for the Bruins against Washington, Ben Bolch reports.

Oregon State

Oregon State football fans will be pleased to know that Pac-12 Networks is airing “The Return” Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. PT. For those who don’t know, “The Return” is a webisode series featuring the Oregon State football program under first-year head coach and former Beavers quarterback Jonathan Smith.

Oregon

Arizona

Cool story by Max Cohen of The Daily Wildcat on the family of Arizona soccer’s Jada Talley tailgating before the team’s home games. There’s a pretty solid tailgating community in the college soccer world (at least from what I’ve personally seen); it’s not just a football thing.

Washington

Lauren Kirschman of The News Tribune features Washington linebacker Tevis Bartlett, who would like to get into the education field when his football days are over. Bartlett is planning on getting a teaching certification and a master’s in administration so he could potentially teach, coach, or be a principal or athletic director.

Utah

Kurt Kragthorpe writes about how Stanford running back Bryce Love burned Utah in the fourth quarter of last year’s meeting in Salt Lake City between the two schools. Love, who is banged up but may still play Saturday night against the Utes, hit a 68-yard touchdown run against Utah last season in the fourth quarter.
