Utah

Oowee, that was impressive – Utah forced four Stanford turnovers in defeating the Cardinal 40-21 on The Farm Saturday night, and Kurt Kragthorpe writes that “Utah is a genuine Pac-12 South contender” after getting its first conference victory of 2018.

Arizona State

One of the most talked about plays of the weekend was Colorado linebacker Drew Lewis’ leveling of Arizona State star N’Keal Harry on a punt return – where did he come from? Was he on the field to start the play or did he just race in from the sideline to stop Harry? The answer to that last question is the former, and Greg Moore of The Arizona Republic breaks down what happened on the blindside hit of N’Keal Harry (Lewis was just blocked out of bounds and then came back in).

USC

Nathan Fenno of the Los Angeles Times reports that former USC safety Kevin Ellison died Thursday. Ellison, 31 at the time of his passing, was a two-time All-Pac-10 selection before being drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 2009.

UCLA

UCLA football is 0-5 for the first time in 75 years after a game effort in a 31-24 loss against No. 7 Washington Saturday night in the Rose Bowl (Los Angeles Daily News). The record doesn’t look good but the future promises to be brighter; quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson and running back Joshua Kelley are pretty good skill dudes to have.

Colorado

After beating Arizona State 28-21 to get to 5-0 for the first time since 1998, Colorado rose two spots to No. 19 in the AP poll and No. 18 in the Coaches poll, Brian Howell notes.

Oregon State

Arizona

Michael Lev gives us his five takeaways from Arizona football’s 24-17 win over Cal. The Wildcats have won three of four after an 0-2 start to the season to get back to .500 at the midpoint of the season.

Oregon

John Canzano breaks down how the Oregon football staff spent its bye week ahead of the big game against Washington on Saturday.

Washington

Here’s what we gleaned from Washington football’s 31-24 win over the Bruins, according to Adam Jude.

Washington State

With the Cougs checking in at the halfway point with a 5-1 record, Theo Lawson examines Washington State football’s second-half schedule, and it sure won’t be easy. The slate gets considerably tougher with Washington, Stanford and Oregon all lurking on the horizon.

Stanford

Great start to conference play for the four-time defending Pac-12 champs and three-time defending national champs, as Stanford men’s soccer defeated rival Cal 4-2 in Berkeley (Pac-12 Networks recap). The Cardinal has the full allotment of nine points after three Pac-12 matches.

California

Props to Cal women’s volleyball for defeating Utah in five sets in Salt Lake City to get its first conference victory of the season (Pac-12 Networks recap).
