TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Athletics and its multimedia rightsholder, Arizona Wildcat Sports Properties, announced today a new radio partnership for fans, alumni and supporters in the greater Phoenix area. Starting this season, KFNX 1100 AM will be the new flagship station for Arizona football and men's basketball game broadcasts, as well as the one-hour coaches' shows.

"Serving our great fan and alumni base in Phoenix is a vital part of the mission of Arizona Athletics," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Dave Heeke. "Adding KFNX as our new radio home of the Wildcats will enhance our engagement with the many proud Wildcats living in the greater Phoenix area, and it will improve the way Wildcats can experience our programs, student-athletes and coaches who represent the University of Arizona."

"The University of Arizona Wildcats have strong football and basketball traditions with excellent coaches leading both programs," said KFNX Owner and President Bill Brady. "KFNX is proud to be able to bring Wildcat sports to our listeners in Central and Southern Arizona."

The five-year agreement with KFNX was secured by Arizona Wildcat Sports Properties – the local Learfield IMG College team dedicated to the Wildcats – as part of its overall rights relationship with the university.

The partnership also brings the voice of the Wildcats, Brian Jeffries, to the radio airways in Phoenix. Arizona football kicks off its 2020 season on Saturday, Nov. 7 at Utah, which will be the first Wildcat game broadcast on the new station.
