BERKELEY – The 123rd Big Game between Cal and Stanford on Friday, Nov. 27 will kick off at 1 pm PT from California Memorial Stadium and be televised live by FOX. On Tuesday, the Pac-12 and its television partners ESPN & FOX Sports announced television networks and kickoff times for each of its eight regular-season Friday games during the 2020 season.

The first Big Game was played in 1892, beginning a series that is tied for the sixth most-played actively running series between Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) teams. Stanford holds a 64-47-11 all-time advantage but the Golden Bears ended a nine-game win Cardinal win streak with a 24-20 victory at Stanford Stadium the last time the teams met on Nov. 23, 2019. Cal will be looking to end a five-game home losing streak in the series in 2020 with the last win by the Bears at California Memorial Stadium a 37-16 victory on Nov. 22, 2008. Cal equaled its longest win streak in the series with five straight victories from 2002-06 and won seven of eight from 2002-09.

The Big Game has featured some of the most memorable finishes in the history of college football with five contests being decided on the final play, including the famous 1982 Big Game that ended with Cal's five-lateral, 57-yard kickoff return through the Stanford Band for a touchdown that will forever be remembered simply as "The Play" and gave the Bears an improbable 25-20 victory.

The Big Game has been determined by one touchdown or less on 54 occasions.

Cal opens a 2020 season delayed by COVID-19 against Washington on Nov. 7 at California Memorial Stadium. After its home opener against the Huskies, the Bears travel to Arizona State (Nov. 14) and Oregon State (Nov. 21) for back-to-back road contests before returning home to host Stanford. Cal wraps up the regular-season by hosting defending Pac-12 champion Oregon (Dec. 5) and traveling to Washington State (Dec. 12).
The Pac-12 Championship Game will be played on Friday, Dec. 18 and be a home-hosted model televised by FOX. Each of the other 10 teams not involved in the title tilt will play on Saturday, Dec. 19 with details to be announced at a later date.

Kickoff times and television broadcast networks for all Cal games other than the Stanford contest will be announced either six or 12 days in advance. Under current state and Pac-12 protocols, fans will be not allowed to attend home games in person.

Radio broadcasts of all Cal football games can be heard live on KGO 810 AM, the Cal Bears Sports Network powered by Learfield IMG College, Sirius XM satellite radio and CalBears.com via TuneIn.
