APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. – Arizona Women's Golf will officially begin its 2021 season at the Superstition Challenge on Sunday, Jan. 24 at Superstition Mountain Country Club. The Wildcats will not travel a full squad for the season-opening event, sending a trio of underclassmen to compete as individuals in the event.

"This is going to be a good starting event for Therese, Gile and Maya to compete individually against some other great teams," said head coach Laura Ianello. "These three young ladies will have an opportunity to get back out on course in a great event and really compete for the first time for our program in almost a year."

Sophomores Therese Warner and Gile Bite Starkute will be participating in their sixth college event of their careers while freshman Maya Benita will make her collegiate debut in the event.

Arizona's decorated Taiwanese trio of golfers of Ya Chun Chang, Vivian Hou and Yu-Sang Hou will return to Tucson in two weeks after competing in an TLPGA event earlier this month.
