TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Pac-12 Conference and the Arizona State Soccer team announced the 2020-21 schedule on Monday.

This season's schedule includes 16 regular season games with nine at home and seven on the road. The Sun Devils start the season with four non-conference matches before opening conference competition, which includes 11 games in the Pac-12. ASU and the University of Arizona will also face off for a non-conference rivalry match in Tucson on March 19.

Fourth-year head coach Graham Winkworth and team are set to open competition with two home games on Feb. 4 and 7 against the University of Texas-El Paso and New Mexico State at the newly renovated Sun Devil Soccer Stadium.

"I am so excited that we are once again just days away from playing a competitive game. We have an incredibly tough schedule with playing in the best league in the country," said head coach Graham Winkworth on this season's schedule.

"To be honest though, this year we just need to be thankful every time we lace up our boots and step on the pitch. Just doing that will be a huge success with everything the whole world has been going through. An incredible amount of work has been taking place behind the scenes by so many people to provide us this opportunity and we are so thankful."

After beginning the season hosting UTEP and NMSU, the Sun Devil's continue non-conference play with a home-and-home series against Grand Canyon on Feb. 11 in Glendale and Feb. 14 in Tempe. The last meeting between the Lopes and Sun Devils was over 20 years ago on Aug. 21, 1999 with ASU taking the win, 6-0, in an exhibition game.

"I am excited about the two games against Grand Canyon as there is always something special about playing your neighbor," said Winkworth.

Following the GCU series, the Sun Devils will host their first three conference games starting with USC on Feb. 26, Washington State on March 5, and Washington on March 7. Last season all three teams finished in the top six of the Pac-12 standings. The Sun Devils fell to the Trojans and Huskies but tied with the Cougars in their meetings in 2019.

The Sun Devils travel for their first road trip of the season on March 12 as they head north to Oregon and then Oregon State. Following the Pacific Northwest tour, ASU pauses conference compeition with a trip to Tucson for a non-conference game on March 19. The four-game road trip concludes in Los Angeles on March 26 as the team plays at UCLA, who finished second in the Pac-12 standings last season.

In the final five games of the season, the Sun Devils host three conference foes: California, Stanford, and UArizona. Over the weekend of April 9-11, ASU concludes its travel schedule against Utah and Colorado. The regular season is set to conclude at home on April 16 against in-state rival, the Wildcats.

The Pac-12 Championship date will be released at a later date.
