Pac-12 Women's Gymnastics Weekly Awards - Feb. 2, 2021

Gymnast of the Week: Maile O’Keefe, So., Utah (Las Vegas, Nev.)

• Recorded event wins on the beam and all-around in then-No. 4 Utah’s victory over Washington. The Red Rocks’ collective score of 197.475 was the nation’s second-best of the season. 

• Posted the first 10.000 beam score in the nation so far this season; has four first-place finishes in four meets in the event so far in 2021. 

• Currently ranks No. 5 overall in the all-around after putting up a 39.525 score against the Huskies. 

• Second consecutive Pac-12 Women’s Gymnast of the Week honor; also a two-time Pac-12 Freshman of the Week in 2020.

Specialist of the Week: Abby Paulson, So., Utah (Anoka, Minn.)

• Established new seasons-highs in every event she competed in — bars (9.85), beam (9.95) and floor (9.90). 

• Earned a 10.000 from one judge on the beam; finished second only to teammate Maile O’Keefe’s perfect score. 

• Bars and floor scores helped the Red Rocks achieve new season-highs in each event. 

Freshman/Newcomer of the Week: Chae Campbell, Fr., UCLA (Carrollton, Texas)

• Took first place in two events, scoring a career-high 39.425 in the all-around and a career-high 9.900 on the vault against the Wildcats. 

• Also added two more career-highs on beam (9.925) and bars (9.750). 

• UCLA achieved a season-high team total of 196.750 and moved to 2-0 on the season. 

Coaches Choice: Alexia Burch, Sr., Utah (Sparks, Nev.)

• Clinched her second consecutive vault title in then-No. 4 Utah’s win over Washington, achieving a season-high 9.925 score. 

• Also added a season-high 9.90 beam score after the leadoff fell, kicking off a run of Utah performances that culminated in the second-highest beam score in the country (49.575). 

• Posted a 9.775 score on bars against the Huskies, an event she added for her senior year.
