Utah Football Adds Four Transfers To 2021 Squad

SALT LAKE CITY – In December, the University of Utah Football program announced the No. 29 recruiting class in the country and fourth-best in the Pac-12 on early signing day. Sixty-five days later, The Utes have made four new additions to the 2021 roster to add even more talent to an already stacked signing class.
Utah's 2021 signing class includes 21 newcomers, which comprises of 17 student-athletes out of high school and four Power Five transfers that include College Football Playoff experience and a College Football Playoff National Championship. The Utes will welcome 10 new players on the offensive side of the ball (2 OL, 3 QB, 3 RB, 1 TE, 1 WR) and 11 on defense (4 LB, 4 DL, 3 DB).
Between early signing day and national signing day today, Utah added running backs Chris Curry (5-11, 216 | University of Oklahoma) and TJ Pledger (5-9, 193 | LSU), and quarterbacks Charlie Brewer (6-1, 210 | Baylor) and Ja'Quinden Jackson (6-2, 232 | University of Texas). All four came out of high school as top recruits, with three earning four-star recognition.
The quartet will join the 2021 class to give the Utes seven four-star recruits with Curry, Pledger and Jackson joining early signees Ethan Calvert (LB), Peter Costelli (QB), Ricky Parks (RB) and Mason Tufaga (LB).
The 22 future Utes will be coming to Salt Lake City from all over the country, including California (6), Utah (4), Arizona (2), Florida (2), Texas (2), Washington (1), Nevada (1), Georgia (1), Idaho (1) and Hawaii (1).
