Broome, Reimer Named NCAA Championship Qualifiers

INDIANAPOLIS — Senior Emma Broome and junior Audrey Reimer have qualified for the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, announced Wednesday by the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee.

Broome has qualified in the 100 back after posting an NCAA consideration time of 52.78 seconds at the Pac-12 Championships. Reimer will compete in the 200 back after qualifying with her NCAA consideration time of 1:52.91 at the Pac-12 Championships. Reimer earned a podium finish at the conference event, finishing third en route to earning an NCAA berth in the 200 back.

The selection marks Reimer's second-straight NCAA berth in the 200 back and marks Broome's first career NCAA Championship selection.

Reimer holds Utah's school record in the 200 back, while Broome ranks second all-time with her time in the 100 back, sitting only behind Reimer's 100 back mark.

The championships will be held March 17-20 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. North Carolina State University and the Greensboro Sports Foundation will serve as co-hosts.

A total of 322 participants (281 swimmers and 41 divers) will compete in the championships. Swimmers qualified for the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered. Divers will be determined by performances at the Zone Diving Meets, which will take place, March 7-13.
