TUCSON, Ariz. – Four Wildcats have punched their tickets and will be traveling to Fayetteville, Arkansas for the NCAA Indoor Championships on Friday, March 12.

Samantha Noennig will compete in her first NCAA Championships as a Wildcat, going into the shot put contest with the best mark in the NCAA and in school history at 18.25m (59-10.5). She has been undefeated through four competitions this season and has picked up two meet records along the way at the Arkansas Qualifier and Texas Tech Shootout. Noennig was the 2019 NCAA Indoor and Outdoor shot put champion while competing for Arizona State and looks to secure another title. She was also named USTFCCCA West Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year on Thursday.

Israel Oloyede qualified in the weight throw for the second year in a row with a mark of 23.18m (76-0.75) at the Championships at the Peak, where he was named Men's Field MVP. Oloyede's throw places him second in the NCAA and was also good to break his own school record for the third time this season after initially breaking it in 2020.

Lillian Lowe's new indoor PR at the Championships at the Peak was good to send her to Fayetteville with the fifth best high jump mark of 1.83m (6-0). Her clearance earned her Women's Field MVP of the meet. Lowe competed in the high jump at the 2019 NCAA Indoor Championships where she cleared 1.81m (5-11.25) to finish seventh.

Jordan Geist will be making his third trip to the Indoor Championships. His season best shot put mark of 20.37m (66-10) at the Texas Tech Shootout gives him the eighth best qualifying mark. In both of Geist's appearances at the 2019 and 2018 Indoor Championships, he placed fifth overall with throws of 20.28m (2019) and 19.63m (2018).

The Wildcats will kick off competition on March 12. A complete recap of the meet will be posted to ArizonaWildcats.com. You can also follow @ArizonaTrack on twitter throughout the day for live updates.
