The UCLA swimming and diving team, which will send seven swimmers to the 2021 NCAA Championships, has a chance to add to that tally next week at the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships, which will take place from Mar. 8-10.

The three-day event, held in Flagstaff, Ariz. at the Wall Aquatic Center on the campus of Northern Arizona University, determines which divers receive invites to the NCAA Championships.

Divers who finish in the top-12 for 1-meter and top-nine for 3-meter and platform will automatically qualify for NCAAs.

The Bruins will have two divers competing at Zones in sophomores Hannah Butler and Katie Shaheen. Butler is set to compete in both springboard events while Shaheen will participate in all three events.

Butler earned NCAA qualification at last year's Zone Championships after finishing sixth with a combined score of 565.00. That performance earned her All-America honors as a freshman.

Shaheen also competed at Zones last year, making the platform finals.

This year's Zone E Championships begin with 1-meter on Monday, followed by 3-meter on Tuesday and platform on Wednesday. Prelims begin at 10:30 a.m. PT each day, with finals to follow in the early afternoon.

Live scoring for all events at the Zone E Championships can be followed on Divemeets.com.
