SAN FRANCISCO – Cal will hold its Spring Football Game on Saturday, March 20, and the event will be televised live by the Pac-12 Networks starting at 2 p.m. PT. The show will give fans, who will not be able to attend the event due to local health guidelines, a chance to see what the Golden Bears have been working on this spring in preparation for the 2021 season.

"We're excited to be able to show everyone a glimpse of what we've been doing," head coach Justin Wilcox said. "The team has been focused on getting better as we prepare for the 2021 season. We miss our fans, and we hope we will be able to see you at California Memorial Stadium this fall."

The Spring Game concludes a series of 15 spring football practices that began Feb. 24. The Bears return 28 student-athletes who made at least one start and accounted for 74 of the possible 88 starts a year ago. The roster also includes 10 "super seniors" who are back for an additional campaign after the NCAA granted an extra season of eligibility to all 2020-21 student-athletes. In addition, nine newcomers from a 21-player recruiting class ranked as high as No. 20 nationally according to ESPN are with the Golden Bears after enrolling at Cal in January of 2021.

Cal finished its 2020 season with a home win over Oregon to mark the third straight season Cal has knocked off the league's reigning champion and the second time in the last three campaign the Bears have beaten the current season's league winner.
