Mar 20, 2021

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Junior swimmer Audrey Reimer closed out the NCAA Championships for Utah on Saturday morning, competing in the 200 back as her second event of the national championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

"Audrey was not where we wanted her to be this morning, but the experience she gained is invaluable," said assistant swim coach Jos Smith. "I was very impressed with how she handled this difficult year."

Reimer, who has now qualified in the 100 back and 200 back in consecutive seasons, competed in the 200 back this morning where she placed 41st overall. Reimer tallied a time of 1:56.79 in the 200 back to round out her NCAA debut after competing in the 100 back yesterday with teammate Emma Broome.

Representing the Utah men's swimming and diving team next week at the NCAA Championships will be Cooper DeRyk and Andrei Ungur, who qualified individually, along with swimmers Andrew Britton and Finn O'Haimhirgin who will join DeRyk and Ungur to comprise Utah's medley relay teams. Additionally, Utah will send divers Luke McDivitt and Tony Chen to compete on the boards at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

The 2021 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships run Wednesday through Saturday, March 24-27.
