San Francisco, Calif. – Alyssa Wilson has been named Pac-12 Women's Field Athlete of the Week and Shae Anderson has been named Pac-12 Women's Track Athlete of the Week, the Conference office announced Wednesday. The pair secured Pac-12 weekly honors after impressive outdoor season debut performances this past week.

Wilson notched six victories in her first week of outdoor competition, sweeping the throws at the Jim Bush Legends Invitational (Mar. 24) and the Bob Larsen Track Meet (Mar. 27). After taking wins in the shot put (15.73m, 51-07.25), discus (51.77m, 169-10), and hammer (63.99m, 209-11) at Jim Bush, she improved upon each of her winning marks for subsequent victories at Bob Larsen. There, she launched 16.00m (52-06.00) and 52.00m (170-07) in the discus. Her victory in the hammer at Bob Larsen resulted from her toss of 66.50m (218-02), the sixth-best mark in the nation this year.

Anderson made her UCLA outdoor debut in style, flying to victories in the 400m and 200m at Bob Larsen. She opened her day with an historic performance in the 400m, clocking a lifetime-best time of 51.84 to move into sixth place on UCLA's all-time outdoor performance list in the event. Anderson's 51.84 mark was the fastest time by a Bruin since Nicole Leach went 51.69 in May 2018. It's also the third-fastest time in the nation this season. The Norco, Calif., native later earned the double with a victory in the 200m, cruising to the win with a career-best time of 23.32. Anderson now ranks 18th collegiately in the event.
