Jill Aguilera Wins Top Drawer Soccer Player of the Week

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Forward Jill Aguilera was named Player of the Week by Top Drawer Soccer after her stellar performance against Stanford and Cal. Her weekend performances led to some major record breaking milestones for the Cats. This is her first TDS Player of the Week honor. 

Against Stanford the Senior came out scoring. She scored her sixth brace of her career and second against Stanford to win the match for the Cats. Her goals led Arizona to their first victory over the Cardinal in 16 years and 14 matches. 

Against Cal, Aguilera picked up an assist on Jada Talley's goal to pull a 1-0 clean sheet. This victory marked Arizona's fifth shutout and made it the first time in program history that the Cats have triumphed over Stanford and Cal in one season. 

Aguilera has recently had her playing rights acquired by the NWSL Chicago Red Stars will finish off her final season at Arizona in the fall of 2021.
