Bears Set To Compete at the Western Intercollegiate

BERKELEY – Cal men's golf will compete in its final regular season tournament this week, playing in the Western Intercollegiate April 12-14. The event will take place at Pasatiempo Golf Club, a par-70, 6,615 yard course in Santa Cruz, Calif.
 
The annual event held since 1947 will feature 13 teams including BYU, UC Irvine, Colorado State, Hawaii, Oregon, No. 7 Pepperdine, No. 23 San Diego State, San Jose State, USC, Stanford, Texas El Paso and Washington. The Bears last won the event in 2013.
 
Here is how the Bears' lineup will look:

4. Aaron Du
5. Connor Golembeski
6. Costas Panay
 
The Bears finished 27th at the Goodwin on March 27, led by junior James Song whose 216 (+6) strokes placed him in a tie for 46th. Freshman Sampson Zheng (T68), senior Finigan Tilly (T82) and freshman Aaron Du (T97) also scored for the Bears in the tournament.

The Goodwin will consist of three rounds over three days beginning on April 12. Live stats will be available here. The event will also be broadcast on Golf Channel live from 4pm-7pm PT the first two rounds and 1pm-4pm on Wednesday.
