No. 19 Oregon State Closes Out Regular Season with Win at No. 16 WSU

COLTON, Wash. – The 19th-ranked Oregon State women's rowing team earned two big wins in the varsity-8 and varsity-4 races over No. 16 Washington State on Saturday morning at Wawawai Landing to cap off the regular season.
 
With the wins today, Oregon State won back the Tammy Crawford Plate and the Jodi Winchell Cup. The Tammy Crawford Plate is awarded to the team that wins the varsity-8 race. The Jodi Winchell Cup goes to the team that wins the most team points in the Oregon State vs. Washington State dual.
 
The Beavers varsity-8 boat clocked in a 6:30.01 finish, beating WSU by over six seconds who recorded a 6:36.05 race. The boat included (Stroke) Muryn Greene, (7) Gretchen Thompson, (6) Zoe Adamson, (5) Tessa White-Parsons, (4) Amelia Sabin, (3) Sierra Bishop, (2) Hannah Robinson, (Bow) Jane Smeins and coxed by AnnaRuth Neville.

In the varsity-4 race, it was another win by over six seconds with OSU posting a time of 7:22.14 and the Cougars finishing in 7:28.66. That boat included (4) Becca Pritchard, (3) Maria-Christina Amundson, (2) Rebecca Falash, (Bow) Madeline Toaso and coxed by Nicki Shultz.

Oregon State will be off next week before returning to action on May 16 in Gold River, Calif. for the Pac-12 Championships.
