Season in Review: Track and Field

Stanford's first outdoor season under J.J. Clark, the Franklin P. Johnson Director of Track and Field and Cross Country, ended gloriously with three Cardinal reaching the final round at the U.S. Olympic Trials and another placing sixth at the British Trials. 

Two school records fell, by freshman Ky Robinson in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase (8:32.01) and Julia Heymach in a stunning performance in the women's Olympic Trials 1,500 final, running the fourth-fastest time in collegiate history (4:04.84) while cutting more than four seconds off Elise Cranny's Stanford mark.

Heymach was sixth at the Trials, Virginia Miller was sixth in the women's javelin, and Keyshawn King was 12th in the men's triple jump. Also, Charles Hicks was sixth at the British Trials.
