Aug 11, 2021

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Eight University of Utah gymnasts have earned WCGA Scholastic All-America honors for their achievements during the 2020-21 academic year, the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association announced Wednesday morning.

The eight Red Rocks were a part of the record 1,059 student-athletes that recorded a 3.5 or better GPA during the school year, marking the first time the WCGA has topped 1,000 honorees. Utah gymnastics compiled a team grade point average of 3.65 for the academic year and was one of 58 teams to land at a 3.5 or better.

Becoming a three-time Scholastic All-America team member was Sydney Soloski, while Abby Paulson collected her second-straight recognition. Jaylene Gilstrap, Cammy Hall, Jillian Hoffman, Emilie LeBlanc, Maile O'Keefe and Alani Sabado were honored for the first time of their careers to round out the group.

Soloski, Paulson, Hall, Hoffman, LeBlanc and O'Keefe were all named to the Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll this past spring, along with the entire Utah roster (excluding freshman who were not eligible). Additionally, Utah gymnastics had a perfect NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR) score this past fall to continue the streak of perfect scores all 16 years since the GSR was introduced.
