Aug 16, 2021

EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon football team came in at No. 11 in the preseason top-25 poll released by the Associated Press on Monday morning.

The Ducks will open the 2021 season at No. 11 after being ranked 12th in the USA Today Sports AFCA football coaches poll that was unveiled last week.

Oregon has now been ranked in the top 11 of the preseason AP poll for three straight years, slotting in at No. 9 to open 2020 and No. 11 to kick off 2019. The Ducks have appeared in the AP preseason top 25 in 11 of the last 12 years.

The Ducks are the highest-ranked Pac-12 team in the poll, and one of five in the top 25. USC is four spots behind Oregon at No. 15, with Washington (No. 20), Utah (No. 24) and Arizona State (No. 25) also appearing on the preseason poll.

Oregon will open its 2021 season at home against Fresno State on September 4 before going on the road to face No. 4 Ohio State in Columbus on September 11.
