Ducks Announce 2021 XC Schedule

EUGENE, Ore. – Returning to its customary fall season, the Oregon cross country schedule includes three meets in the state including the UO-hosted Bill Dellinger Invitational in Springfield.
 
"The cross country season is always an exciting time for our team and staff because it's the start of our competition schedule," head coach Robert Johnson said. "After the challenges last year due to the pandemic, it will be nice to be back this fall with a full focus on cross country."

Wed, Sept. 1: Lewis & Clark Opener (Lake Oswego, Ore.)
Thur, Sept. 23: Bill Dellinger Invitational (Springfield, Ore.)
Fri, Oct. 15: Nuttycombe Invitational (Madison, Wis.)
Sat, Oct. 16: Lewis & Clark Invitational (Lake Oswego, Ore.)
Fri, Oct. 29: Pac-12 Championships (Salt Lake City, Utah)
Fri, Nov. 12: NCAA West Regional Championships (Sacramento, Calif.)
Sat, Nov. 20: NCAA Championships (Tallahassee, Fla.)
 
The season begins Sept. 1 with the Lewis & Clark Opener, the first of two scheduled meets for UO in Lake Oswego. The Ducks will also send entries to the Lewis & Clark Invitational in mid-October.
 
The Bill Dellinger Invitational (Sept. 23) will begin with the men's 8K at 5:30 p.m. (PT), followed by the women's 6K at 6:15 p.m. Previously known as Springfield Golf Club, the Pine Ridge Golf Club will host the Dellinger Invitational. Along with the Ducks, the Dellinger field features five Pac-12 teams.

Oregon's first trip out of the state will be for the Nuttycombe Invitational (Oct. 15) in Madison, Wis. The women's and men's 'A' races are scheduled for 10:20 a.m. and 11 a.m. (PT), respectively.
 
The Ducks' postseason begins Oct. 29 with the Pac-12 Championships in Salt Lake City where Utah will host the conference meet for the first time. The Men of Oregon have won 16 conference titles in the program's history and the Women of Oregon are 10-time league champions, most recently in 2018.
 
For the third time in the past five competitions, the NCAA West Regional Championships return to Sacramento, Calif. The meet is scheduled for Nov. 12 with the top-two teams in each race earning an automatic spot in the national meet.
 
The NCAA Championships will be held Nov. 20 in Tallahassee, Fla., the first time the meet will be run in the state of Florida. The national meet is being contested at Apalachee Regional Park, the home course for Florida State.
