Women's Golf Announces 2021 Fall Schedule

Sep 1, 2021

PULLMAN, Wash. – Fall competition returns for the Washington State women's golf team for the 2021-22 season, as head coach Kelli Kamimura announced Wednesday, Sept. 1, that the Cougs will play in four autumn tournaments. WSU begins the fall Sept. 19-21 at the Badger Invitational in Madison, Wisconsin.

The WSU women's golf team returns to a full slate of tournaments in 2021-22 after being limited to just six spring tournaments during the 2020-21 campaign due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We're excited about our fall schedule and being able to compete against a variety of teams from across the country," expressed Kamimura. "It will be great to start our competitive schedule at a new tournament in Wisconsin."

After its season-opening tournament at the Badger Invitational, the Cougs returns to action Sept. 27-29 to compete in the Golfweek Conference Challenge at the Red Sky Golf Club in Wolcott, Colorado. After a brief break, WSU heads down to Stanford, California Oct. 15-17 to play in the Stanford Intercollegiate at the Stanford Golf Club. The Cougars conclude the fall portion of their schedule Nov. 1-3 with the Pac-12 Preview at Nanea Golf Club in Kona, Hawai'i.

"We've had a great start to the season and we're looking forward to getting started," said Kamimura. "We started training on the first day of school. We've been focused on team building, mental game and being as prepared as we can be for competition."

Washington State will announce the spring portion of its 2021-22 schedule later in the year. All dates for the fall schedule are subject to change.
