Jackson Rivera Leads USC Men's Golf First Round At Maridoe Invitational

Freshman Jackson Rivera was the Trojans' low scorer for the third time in four rounds this year, pacing the USC men's golf team in the Maridoe Invitational first round on Monday (Sept. 13) at the Maridoe G.C. in Carrollton, Texas.

USC combined for a 21-over 309 in the first-round and sit 14th overall. Oklahoma leads the field at 2-over.

Rivera, who tied for 18th in his collegiate debut, is tied for 20th after a 2-over 74. He went out at 1-under.

Fellow true freshman Gavin Aurilia and graduate transfer Alex Ross are tied for 47th at 5-over 77.

True freshman Daniel Tang is 67th at 9-over, redshirt freshman Parker Rostowsky is tied for 69th at 11-over.

The event continues Tuesday and Wednesday. Golf Channel will air live coverage from 1-4 p.m. PT daily.
