B.J. Baylor Recognized By Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award

TYLER, Texas – B.J. Baylor was named an honorable mention selection for the weekly Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, the Tyler Chamber and SPORTyler, announced on Tuesday.
 
Baylor ran for 171 yards and three touchdowns in the Beavers' 45-27 win over Hawai'i Saturday at Reser Stadium, setting career highs in both categories. He had a 66-yard touchdown run on the night, the second longest of his career.
 
Baylor, who hails from Wharton, Texas, has five touchdowns through the first two games of the season and is the first Beaver to tally multiple rushing touchdowns in back-to-back games since Jermar Jefferson in 2018.
 
To be eligible for recognition, a student-athlete must be an offensive player and meet one of the following criteria: be born in Texas and/or graduate from a Texas high school and/or have played at a Texas-based junior college or currently played at a Texas-based university.
 
Baylor and the Beavers stay at Reser Stadium Saturday for a 12:30 p.m. PT kickoff against Idaho. The game can be seen via Pac-12 Oregon, the Pac-12 Now app and Pac-12.com.
