Pro Dawgs In The NFL: Week One Recap

Sep 15, 2021

Several former Huskies are now playing in the National Football League. Below is a look back at last week's games, presented by Toyota.

NOTABLE PERFORMERS

Three Huskies were prominent in the NFL's season-opening game on Thursday, Dallas at Tampa Bay, for the Buccaneers: Vita Vea, Joe Tryon and Jaydon Mickens. Tryon made 2 tackles in his pro debut, Mickens was a weapon in the return game and Vea was a huge pain in the side for Dallas all night (see below) ...

Three Dawgs recorded 10 tackles during the weekend: Shaq Thompson (Carolina Panthers), Taylor Rapp (LA Rams), and Cory Littleton (Las Vegas) ... Thompson added a sack and an interception to his tackle total ... All-Pro Budda Baker picked up where he left off in 2020 with 8 tackles and a pass defense for Arizona, while teammate Byron Murphy was credited with 4 tackles and broke up 3 passes ... Myles Gaskin (Miami) had 9 carries for 49 yards ... Will Dissly made 3 receptions for 27 yards in Seattle's new-look offense ... Tristan Vizcaino nailed his two field goal attempts for the LA Chargers.

And Myles looking steely.
