Swim and Dive Opens Regular Season at Fresno St. Invite

The UCLA swim and dive team opens the 2021-22 regular season this weekend, traveling to Fresno State for the Chick-fil-A Invite. The two-day, three-session meet opens on Friday and features squads from San Diego State, San Jose State, California, and Washington State.

Action from the Fresno State Aquatics Center starts with Session 1 on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m., followed by Session 2 on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. The weekend wraps up with Session 3 at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.

All three sessions of the invitational will be streamed live by Fresno State. Fans can view the stream HERE, or follow along with live results on the Meet Mobile app ($).

Scheduled events for Session 1 include the 200-medley relay, 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free, and 200 free relay.

The evening session will consist of the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back, and 800 free relay.

Saturday's session will include the 400-medley relay, 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, and 400 free relay.

UCLA returns 27 of 30 letterwinners from last year's squad, including all nine student-athletes who traveled to the NCAA Championships. The 2020-21 Bruins earned a third-place finish at the Pac-12 Championships, the program's highest finish at the league meet since 2006.
