MVB Off-Season Recap

Ethan Champlin helped U.S. win the bronze medal at Pan Am Cup.

This past off-season saw several  men's volleyball Bruins in action, both on the beach and as members of U.S. indoor teams.

Setter Miles Partain was named AVP Best Defensive Player on the beach by Volleyballmag.com. Partain was also an honorable mention pick for Breakthrough Player of the Year on the AVP tour by Volleyballmag.com.

Middle blocker Merrick McHenry represented the United States at the NORCECA Continental Championships in Mexico this past summer. The U.S. team finished fifth in that competition. McHenry was also a member of the U.S. squad which took home the bronze medal at the Pan Am Cup in the Dominican Republic. He had 10 kills and 8 blocks in the bronze medal-winning match.

Outside hitter Ethan Champlin joined McHenry as a member of the U.S. team which captured the bronze medal at the Pan Am Cup. He had 9 kills in the bronze medal match.

Outside hitter Grant Sloane was also on that U.S. team which won the bronze medal at the Pan Am Cup in the Dominican Republic. He added 9 kills in the medal match.
