Later in the drive after Lewis nearly connected with Stanley in the back of the end zone, a penalty on the Wildcats moved the ball down to the UA 13 yard line. The Buffs pushed the ball all the way to the one but could not punch it in and elected to attempt a field goal which Cole Becker nailed through the uprights. Colorado leads 3-0 with 8:26 left in the first quarter.
The Wildcats began their drive at their own 25 yard line and went three and out following an open field tackle by Lewis on third down. After a 40 yard punt by Arizona, CU will begin their drive at their own 35 yard line with 6:38 left in the first quarter.

On fourth and two, the Wildcats converted on a pass from Cruz to Berryhill who gained 12 yards and moved UA into Colorado territory.
