Beavers Fall to Utah, 2-1

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah  – The Oregon State women's soccer team fell, 2-1, to Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah on Thursday. The Beavers are now 11-4 (3-4 Pac-12) on the season. 
 
Freshman Aidan Brown found the net with a deep shot from her right foot in the 35th minute of play to put the Beavers up 1-0. Brown's goal is her second this season and in her career, as her first collegiate goal was recorded in OSU's victory over New Mexico on Aug. 29.  The Utes quickly answered with a goal in the 39th minute and a penalty kick goal in the 40th minute to go into the half with a 2-1 lead. The Beavers and Utes battled through a scoreless second half, despite OSU marking four shots on goal that were saved by the Utes' goalkeeper. 
 
Senior Bridgette Skiba posted four saves on the night. Over the duration of the game, the Beavers tallied five shots on goal out of eight shots total and took four corner kicks.
