Chidekh Wins To Reach Super Regionals Final

Oct 24, 2021

SEATTLE -- Clement Chidekh had another straight set win today to move into the ITA Super Regionals final at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. He'll be the first Husky finalist at the yearly fall event since Mitch Stewart in 2015 when he takes the court on Monday at 10:30 a.m.

Chidekh held off a tough challenge from the No. 6-seed, Sema Pankin of Portland, winning a pair of 6-4 sets. In the final, Chidekh, seeded No. 2, will take on No. 1-seeded Arthur Fery of Stanford who had a 7-5, 7-5 win in his semifinal.

Chidekh was looking to team with Nedim Suko and make it to the doubles final as well, but the new pairing came up on the short end today, by the same score as Chidekh's singles match, 6-4, 6-4, against Stanford's Fery/Rotsaert.
