STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford's route to the College Cup, and a shot at a fourth national championship, has been set. The Cardinal will begin the run on the road when it visits Santa Clara for a 1 p.m. PT match on Saturday.

The Cardinal defeated Santa Clara 3-1 at home earlier this season on September 19.

Stanford concluded the regular season on Saturday with a 3-1 victory over Pac-12 rival California. The Cardinal, which sports a 13-5-1 overall record, finished fourth in the Pac-12 standings with a 7-3-1 mark.

The Knowles Family Director of Women's Soccer Paul Ratcliffe enters the postseason with a 53-12-4 record in postseason action while at Stanford, having guided the Cardinal to the NCAA Tournament in 18 of his 19 seasons on The Farm.

This is Stanford's 30th appearance in the NCAA Tournament overall, including its 23rd in the last 24 seasons. The Cardinal did not make the tournament for the first time since 1997 last year in a season that was moved to the spring of 2021 due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Stanford has appeared in 10 College Cups, including five straight from 2008-12, with its three national championships coming in 2011, 2017 and 2019.
