Nine Make Pro Football Focus All-Pac-12 Team

Nine Cal players have earned a spot on PFF's All-Pac-12 Team.

BERKELEY – Cal has placed nine players on the 2021 Pro Football Focus All-Pac-12 Team with Elijah Hicks and Daniel Scott sweeping first-team safety honors to lead the selections. Outside linebacker Marqez Bimage and offensive lineman McKade Mettauer were second-team picks, while wide receiver Trevon Clark and kick returner Nikko Remigio earned third-team nods. Quarterback Chase Garbers, wide receiver Jeremiah Hunter and placekicker Dario Longhetto rounded out Cal's picks with honorable mention recognition.

Marqez Bimage, OLB, 6-2, 260, Sr., 5th Season At Cal, Brenham, TX (Texas/Brenham HS)
— Has played in each of Cal's first 11 games as a 2021 senior including his first four starts for the Golden Bears in his first season with the program as a graduate transfer from Texas, is tied for third in the nation and tied for second in the Pac-12 with three fumble recoveries, and has also contributed 33 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss (-29 yards), 2.0 sacks (-17 yards), two forced fumbles, three quarterback hurries and one pass breakup
— Has played in a total of 45 collegiate games including his first 34 at Texas from 2017-19 and logged collegiate totals of 51 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss (-38 yards), 3.0 sacks (-25 yards), four forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, three pass breakups and four quarterback hurries
 
Trevon Clark, WR, 6-4, 195, Sr., 5th Season At Cal, Victorville, CA (El Camino College/Silverado HS)
— Has played in all 11 games with nine starts as a 2021 senior and leads the team with 604 yards receiving and four touchdown grabs on 29 receptions while he leads the Pac-12 and ranks sixth nationally with a 20.8 yards per catch average, while ranking eighth in the Pac-12 in receiving yards per game (60.4 ypg) and ninth in receiving yards
— Has played in 27 career games with 16 starts since his arrival at Cal as a junior in 2019 and contributed 54 receptions for 877 yards and six touchdowns, as well as two rushes for 26 yards to total 903 all-purpose yards while adding two tackles
 
Chase Garbers, QB, 6-2, 225,R-Sr.^, 5th Season At Cal, Newport Beach, CA (Corona del Mar HS)
— Has started 10 games as a 2021 senior and completed 205-of-327 passes (62.7%) for 2356 yards with 16 touchdowns and eight interceptions for a 134.5 passer rating with his completions, pass attempts, completion percentage, passing yards and touchdown passes all career highs
— Leads Pac-12 in total offense per game (280.0 ypg, #26 NCAA) as a 2021 senior, while he is third in per-game passing yards (235.6 ypg) and completions (20.50 cpg, #28 NCAA), as well as total plays (424), with all numbers also career highs
— Has completed 580-of-938 career passes (62.2%) for 6405 yards with 50 touchdowns and 24 interceptions for a 131.7 passer efficiency rating, and is mong Cal's all-time leaders in total offense (7567, 4th), touchdown passes (T6th), 300-plus yard passing games (4, T7th), passing yards (8th), passer efficiency (9th) and 250-yard passing games (9, T9th)
— Cal's all-time leader for both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns for a quarterback with 1162 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground on 324 carries

— 2021 Campbell Trophy, Jason Witten Collegiate Man Of The Year and Wuerffel Trophy Semifinalist who has started each of the first 11 games of his 2021 senior season and leads the team while ranking second in the Pac-12 in forced fumbles per game (0.27, #T24 NCAA), while his three total forced fumbles also pace the squad and are tied for second in the Pac-12
— Also co-leads the 2021 squad with three interceptions that are tied for second in the Pac-12 (#T30 NCAA) while his 0.27 interceptions per game also co-leads the team, ranks tied for third in the Pac-12 and tied for 37th nationally
— Second on the 2021 team with 65 tackles while adding 5.5 tackles for loss (-15 yards), 1.0 sack (-8 yards) and two pass breakups, with the tackles, tackles for loss and tackles for loss yards all career highs
— Has played in all 53 games possible with 45 starts over the last four-plus seasons since his arrival in January of 2017 and is Cal's active career leader with 206 tackles and five forced fumbles, while adding 14.5 tackles for loss (-40 yards), 3.0 sacks (-15 yards), five interceptions that he has returned for a combined 66 yards and one touchdown, and 14 pass breakups

Jeremiah Hunter, WR, 6-2, 200, So.^, 2nd Season At Cal, Fresno, CA (Central HS)
— Has played in all eight of his career games as a 2021 sophomore including his lone career collegiate start against Sacramento State and has an average of 18.5 yards per reception that is second on the team and third in the Pac-12, while he is third on the team with 388 yards receiving on 21 catches
 
Dario Longhetto, PK, 6-0, 185, R-Jr.^, 4th Season At Cal, Newbury Park, CA (Bridgton Academy/Newbury Park HS)
— Has handled all placekicking and kickoff duties in 10 of the first 11 games of his 2021 junior season and leads the team with 58 points on 10-of-13 field goals and 28-of-28 PAT, while also kicking off 51 times for 3038 yards (59.6 avg) with 19 touchbacks
— Has played in 21 games over the last three-plus seasons since his arrival at Cal in 2018 and registered 79 career points (14-19 FG, 37-38 PAT) while also kicking off 59 times for 3504 yards (59.4 avg) with 24 touchbacks
 
McKade Mettauer, OL, 6-4, 305, Jr.^, 3rd Season At Cal, The Woodlands, TX (The Woodlands, TX/The Woodlands HS/St. Pius X HS)
— Has started all 11 games at right guard as a 2021 junior, played in all 28 games possible since his 2019 arrival and started each of the team's last 27 contests at right guard
— Has helped Cal roll up over 500 total yards of offense three times in 2021 (636 at Stanford, 534 vs. Sacramento State, 517 vs. Oregon State) and more than 200 yards rushing on four occasions (352 at Stanford, 255 vs. Oregon State, 246 vs. Sacramento State, 213 vs. Colorado)
— Helped Cal break a Big Game record with 636 total yards of offense that were its most since also compiling 636 in a double overtime home win over Oregon in 2016, while the Golden Bears' 352 rushing yards were their most since rushing for 431 against Washington in 2008
 
Nikko Remigio, S, 5-11, 200, Sr.^, 4th Season At Cal, Long Beach, CA (Orange, CA/Mater Dei HS)
— Has played in 10 games with four starts as a 2021 senior and has a team-high 34 catches that is four shy of his career high set as a 2019 sophomore for 195 yards receiving and two TD grabs
— Leads the Pac-12 and ranks ninth nationally in kickoff return average (16-475, 29.7 ypr) and is coming off career highs of four kick returns and 150 kick return yards at UCLA when he had kick returns of 67 and 58 yards that were the second and third-longest of his career
— One of only three Pac-12 players to return a kickoff for a touchdown (#T11 NCAA) in 2021 with a 99-yarder against Sacramento State the first of his career
— Leads the 2021 team with a career-high 796 all-purpose yards, adding nine punt returns for 68 yards and six rushes for 58  
— Has played in 35 career games with 16 starts and is Cal's active career leader in receptions (93), as well as all return categories (43 punt returns, 342 yards; 19 kick returns, 530 yards, 1 TD), while adding 860 yards receiving and seven touchdown receptions, as well as 13 rushes and 76 yards rushing, and five tackles
 
Daniel Scott, S, 6-2, 205, R-Sr.^, 5th Season At Cal, Pasadena, CA (La Mirada HS/St. Francis HS)
— Has started each of the first 11 games of his 2021 senior season and leads the team with a career-high 72 tackles, while also co-leading the squad with three interceptions that are tied for second in the Pac-12 (#T30 NCAA) while his 0.27 interceptions per game also co-leads the team, ranks tied for third in the Pac-12 and tied for 37th nationally
— Has played in 36 career games with 15 starts and posted 112 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss (-6 yards), four picks he has returned for six yards and one touchdown, three pass breakups, one fumble recovery and two quarterback hurries
