Game Notes
- Oregon State heads to Inglewood, Calif., Saturday to play in the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl Presented by Stifel at SoFi Stadium. Kickoff against Utah State is slated for 4:30 p.m. PT.
- The game will air live on ABC. Joe Tessitore (play-by-play), Jesse Palmer (analyst) and Laura Rutledge (sideline) will call the action.
- Oregon State leads the all-time series 3-0, defeating the Aggies in 1904, 1997 and 1998. The 1904 and 1998 games were played in Logan, Utah.
- The game will air live on the Beaver Sports Radio Network. For a list of affiliates, turn to page two of these notes.
- ESPN Radio will also have coverage of the game. Jorge Sedano (play-by-play), Tom Ramsey (analyst) and Kelsey Riggs (sideline) will call the contest.

Oregon State Notables
- Oregon State is playing in its 18th bowl all-time and first since the 2013 season when defeating Boise State at the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl. Oregon State is 11-6 in its previous 17 bowl appearances. The Beavers won five consecutive bowl games from 2003-08.
- The bowl marks the ninth for head coach Jonathan Smith on the sideline, with the first eight coming as an assistant coach. He led OSU to two bowl games, including the 2001 Fiesta, as a quarterback.
- Seventeen Beavers have been named All-Pac-12 by the conference's coaches, including back-to-back first-team selections Avery Roberts and Nathan Eldridge. B.J. Baylor was been named first team as well.

Against Utah State
- The game marks just the third all-time between the teams and first since Oregon State won, 20-16, at Logan in 1998.
- OSU also won, 24-16, in Corvallis in 1997 and 45-0 in 1904 in Logan.
- Head coach Jonathan Smith was on the roster for the 1998 win but did not play in the game.
- Oregon State offensive lineman Heneli Bloomfield played in 16 games for Utah State from 2018-19. He has not played this season.
- Calvin Tyler Jr. transferred from Oregon State after the 2020 season and leads Utah State with 764 rushing yards.
- Utah State passing game coordinator/wide receivers coach Kyle Cefalo originally attended Oregon State as a baseball player, but later transferred to Colorado to play football.
- USU running backs coach Chuckie Keeton (2016-17) and defensive line coach Al Lapuaho (2016-17) have both been on Oregon State's staff. Keeton as an offensive quality control assistant and graduate assistant with Lapuaho as a defensive graduate assistant.

All-Pac-12
- Oregon State had 17 players recognized by the Pac-12's coaches on Dec. 7, the team's most since 2008 when the Beavers all had 17.
- Avery Roberts and Nathan Eldridge were named first team for second consecutive season while B.J. Baylor earned it for the first time in his career.
- Jack Colletto was named second team.
- Thirteen Beavers received honorable mention honors. They are: Joshua Gray, Nous Keobounnam, Brandon Kipper, Chance Nolan, Teagan Quitoriano, Trevon Bradford, Rejzohn Wright, Alex Austin, Jaydon Grant, Kitan Oladapo, Omar Speights, Keonte Schad and Everett Hayes.

SoFi Stadium Note
- The game marks Oregon State's first at SoFi Stadium, which opened in September 2020.
- It will mark the fourth time OSU will play a bowl game in an enclosed or reatractable roof stadium. The Beavers also did so in 2012 in San Antonio (Alamodome), as well as 2002 and 2004 at Insight Bowl appearances (Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix).
- It marks the Beavers' first game at an active NFL stadium since 2010 when playing TCU at Cowboys' Stadium.

Smith In LA
- Oregon State head coach Jonathan Smith starred at Glendora High School in the Los Angeles area before coming to Corvallis in 1997. 
- Oregon State is 2-0 when visiting the Los Angeles area since Smith took over as head coach in 2018. The Beavers defeated UCLA, 48-31, in Pasadena in 2019. OSU then won at USC this season, 45-27, on Sept. 25, the Beavers' first victory there since 1960.

Versus The Mountain West
- Oregon State is 37-26 all-time against current members of the Mountain West Conference.
- The Beavers last MWC opponent was Hawai'i, whom Oregon State defeated, 45-27, on Sept. 11 this season at Reser Stadium.
- OSU has played current MWC teams in bowl games four times, going 3-1. The Beavers defeated Hawai'i in 1940 (39-6 at Pineapple Bowl) and 1949 (47-27 at Pineapple Bowl). OSU lost to Hawai'i, 23-17, at the 1999 O'ahu Bowl, then defeated New Mexico, 55-14 at the 2003 Las Vegas Bowl.

Baylor Leads The Pac-12
- B.J. Baylor heads into the bowl game with  1,259 rushing yards in 2021, which leads the Pac-12. He is aiming to become the first Beaver running back to lead the conference in rushing since Steven Jackson tallied 1,545 yards in 2003.
- Baylor is the ninth player in Oregon State history to tally at least one 1,000-yard season, joining Jackson, Ken Simonton, Jacquizz Rodgers, Jermar Jefferson, Yvenson Bernard, Bill Enyart, Pete Pifer and Dave Schilling.
- Those nine have combined for 17 1,000-yard seasons; Simonton, Bernard and Rodgers have three apiece.
- Baylor's 1,259 rushing yards ranks 10th in the OSU single-season record books. He is immediately behind No. 9 Bill Enyart (1,304 in 1968), No. 8 Yvenson Bernard (1,307 in 2006), No. 7 Bernard (1,321 in 2005) and No. 6 Jermar Jefferson (1,380 in 2018).
