Pac-12 Women's Gymnastics Weekly Awards - Jan. 11, 2022

Gymnast of the Week: Cristal Isa, Sr., Utah (Henderson, Nev.)

• Won both of her events to lead Utah to a season-opening win against three in-state opponents.
• Posted the first 9.90 of the season on the beam for Utah to win that event.
• Followed with a meet-high on bars (9.875) to win her second event title of the night and the most by any Red Rock.
• The All-American is tied for 11th in the nation on beam and 18th on bars. 

Specialist of the Week: Jaedyn Rucker, Jr., Utah (Mesa, Ariz.)

• Helped guide Utah to a 197.100 in the season opener after winning the vault title and posting the third-best floor score on the team.
• Recorded a 9.90 on vault with her Yurchenko 1.5 to take her first event victory of the season, as well as her first 9.90 or better.
• Scored a 9.825 on floor to finish tied for sixth in the event.
• Tied for eighth in the nation on vault and was one of just 15 gymnasts to score a 9.90 or better in the opening weekend on vault.

Freshman/Newcomer of the Week: Amelie Morgan, Fr., Utah (Bristol, England)

• Served as the leadoff gymnast on both bars and beam to help push Utah to a 197.100 in the win at the Best of Utah.
• The Olympic bronze medalist began her college career on beam with the first routine of the season for the Utes and scored a 9.875 to finish tied for second place with her first routine as a Red Rock.
• Led off the bars rotation and posted a 9.825 to get the event started.
• Posted a beam score of a 9.875, which is tied for No. 20 in the nation following the first week of competition.

Coaches Choice: Jillian Hoffman, Jr., Utah (Murrieta, Calif.)

• Limited to only four routines over the past two years after her freshman and sophomore campaigns were plagued with injuries.
• Now healthy, she was called into the vault lineup last minute after a teammate suffered an injury during warmups.
• With little preparation, she vaulted her Yurchenko full and posted a 9.80 in the leadoff position to get the rotation started.
