Arizona Prepares to Take on Cal, Stanford

Jan 19, 2022

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona Swimming and Diving team will travel to Northern California this weekend to take on Cal Berkeley and Stanford. The team will compete in Berkeley on Friday at 3 p.m. MST, followed up by Stanford on Saturday at 1 p.m. MST.

This will mark the Wildcat women's first scoring dual meet since November, when they took down UCLA at home, and as for the men they are coming off of a dominant win against SMU earlier this month.

The men against SMU were led by Brooks Fail, who won all four of his individual events, and swept all four of their relay events as well.

Cats last visited the Northern California schools in the 2019-2020 season, but dropped both matches.

Arizona men are currently ranked 20th in the nation and the women are 24th in CSCAA rankings. Cal's men's team sits at third in rankings while their women are sixth. The Stanford Cardinal rank 10th in the men's rankings while the women are fourth.
