Loaded Fields Await at Razorback Invite

EUGENE, Ore. – For its second meet of the season, the Oregon track and field team is off to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Razorback Invitational. The weekend will also mark the 2022 debut for several members of the Ducks' distance and multi-event crews. Friday's schedule begins at 9:45 a.m. (PT) with the first event of the heptathlon.

In addition to the start of the heptathlon, Friday's schedule is also set to feature the 200 meters and the distance-medley relay, along with Ducks entered in the high jump, pole vault, long jump and the weight throw.
 
Loaded Field
Along with the Ducks and host Arkansas, the field at this year's Razorback Invitational features Georgia, Iowa, Iowa State, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh, Stanford and USC.
 
Back for More
Reigning NCAA indoor champions Emmanuel Ihemeje (triple jump), Kemba Nelson (60m) and Micah Williams (60m) are back in the facility where they each won national titles last March. Ihemeje is also entered in the long jump while Nelson and Williams are also slated to compete at 200 meters Friday evening. Reed Brown and Xavier Nairne, members of the Ducks' NCAA-winning DMR last year, are in action this weekend in the 3,000 meters, and 60 and 200 meters, respectively.
 
Last Time Out
The Ducks collected 11 wins (full list below), 12 indoor personal bests and four top-10 program marks at the season-opening Cougar Classic in Spokane, Wash. Among the victories, Micah Williams lowered his own UO record in the 60 meters to 6.48 while Kemba Nelson posted a then-NCAA leader of 7.19 to win the women's 60 meters.

Sprinting to the Front
On their strength of their efforts in the Cougar Classic (Jan. 15), the Ducks own seven top-30 national times heading into this weekend's meet in Fayetteville. The seven marks are spread among the 60 and 200 meters.
