Beavers Drop Road Contest To Colorado

BOULDER, Colo. – Glenn Taylor Jr. led Oregon State with a career-high 15 points in an 86-63 loss to Colorado on Saturday afternoon at the CU Events Center.
 
Taylor Jr., who got his first career start, went 5-for-12 from the field and 5-for-8 from the free throw line. His previous career best was 10 points against Washington.
 
Maurice Calloo started for the second-straight game and finished with 14 points. Jarod Lucas added 13 points, and Dexter Akanno and Roman Silva chipped in eight points apiece.
 
Colorado (14-9, 6-7 Pac-12) was led by Keeshawn Barthelemy's 16 points. The Buffaloes shot 57.1% from the field and knocked down 14 triples.
 
The Beavers were without Rodrigue Andela (foot), Dashawn Davis (ankle), Isaiah Johnson (concussion) and Xzavier Malone-Key (back) due to injuries. Preseason All-Pac-12 First Team selection Warith Alatishe was limited to six minutes with knee issues.
 
Oregon State (3-17, 1-9 Pac-12) returns to Gill Coliseum for a three-game homestand with contests against California at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9, Stanford at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12 and Colorado at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 15.
