Wildcats Finish Windy City Invite with Wave of PRs

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Wildcats head back to Tucson after a successful weekend at the Windy City Invitational with a multitude of athletes achieving personal records and podium finishes.

Day Two Highlights
Shannon Meisberger continued her dominant weekend with another PR in the 400m dash and a first-place finish with a time of 53.67. Anna Foreman finished in fourth with her own PR of 54.68.

Grace Driskill earned a personal best in the 3000m with a time of 9:37.79 and a top ten finish. Maddy Christopher added her own distance PR with a 4:53.87 in the Mile. Fellow distance runner Timothy Kibet placed third in the 800m open run with a 1:53.38.

Talie Bonds followed up her solid performance yesterday with identical PR times in the semifinals and finals of the 60m hurdles to finish fourth with a time of 8.27. Alisa Lyesina set her own PR in the 800m run invite with a fourth-place finish and a time of 2:08.35.

Katie Daily is now tied for the second-highest mark in the Pac-12 in the Pole Vault after placing fifth in the women's invite with her new PR of 4.01m.

The relay teams ended the weekend with solid podium finishes. The women's relay placed second with a season-best time of 3:38.03, featuring Anna Foreman, Jenica Bosko, Xahria Santiago, and Shannon Meisberger. The men also placed second with a season-best time of 3:11.98 with a lineup that featured Ivan Zaharchenko, Isaac Davis, Trayvion White-Austin, and Calvin Wilson. That time puts the men at fourth in the conference for the 4x400m relay.

Day One Highlights
Shannon Meisberger broke the Arizona school indoor record for her second place performance the 600m run with an incredible time of 1:28.19. Fellow 600m runner Anna Foreman also broke her PR with a time of 1:31.61 and finished in fourth.

Alexa Porpaczy won the women's high jump for the first time this season with a height of 1.75m. Talie Bonds came in right behind her with the height of 1.75m as well, while Diana Ramos tied for fourth place and a height of 1.70m. Bonds also came in first in the qualifying for the 60m hurdles with a new PR of 8.34, which is the fourth fastest time in the Pac-12.

Trayvion White-Austin continues to impress in his first season as a Wildcat. He placed second in the qualifying of the 60m dash with a time of 6.86, as well as a second place finish in the 200m dash with a PR of 21.13. In his field performance, White-Austin placed first in the Men's Long Jump with his second PR of 7.28m and his mark is currently the tied for the fifth longest jump in the conference.

Calvin Wilson showed off his skills in the 200m dash, winning the event with a 1:18.66. Logan Hasher came in third in the event with a 1:21.54 and Damien Hackson placed fifth with a 1:22.12, which was a PR for Jackson.
