Devils Set for Pac-12 Invitational

TEMPE – Sun Devil Track and Field travels to Seattle, Washington, for the Pac-12 Invitational this weekend. Action runs Friday and Saturday at the Dempsey Indoor Track and Field Facility. It's the final meet of the regular season for ASU and is the last chance to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships. Just the top-16 individuals and top-12 relays go to Birmingham, Alabama, and ASU has five marks in qualifying position.

In the shot, defending national champion and NCAA indoor record holder Turner Washington ranks second with his 21.33m/69-11.75 mark. Jorinde Van Klinken also ranks second on the women's side at 18.88m/61-11.5, which is also the second all-time in ASU history. Justin Robinson is ranked 24th in the 200m with a best of 20.88, but he's in good standing in the 400m at 10th with a best of 46.17. He has the second and fourth all-time bests in ASU records, respectively.
 
In the 60H, Jamar Marshall Jr is ranked ninth with a best of 7.67. The current ASU record-holder is looking to one-up his performance from last year's NCAA Championships where he tripped out the starting block. In the 4x400, Jalen Brown, Gemali Felix, Robinson, and Dubem Nwachukwu are on the qualifying bubble at 12th with a time of 3:05.99. In the high jump, Jeremy Cody is ranked 31st with a best of 2.15m and has the sixth all-time best in the ASU record book, and in the triple jump Dylan James holds the 34th national spot with a season's best of 15.77m, which is also eighth all-time in ASU history. In the PENT, Katie Eidem is ranked 22nd with a best of 4,019, also putting her in the third all-time best in ASU history. Mya Lesnar holds a spot in the SP ranks being in 32nd with a best of 16.41m.
