Walker Earns USBWA, NABC All-District Honors

BOULDER – University of Colorado sophomore forward Jabari Walker has earned All-District honors from both the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
 
Walker was one of 10 individuals selected to the USBWA District VIII team which includes NCAA Division I players from the states of Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada and Montana. It's the fourth-straight year a Buffalo has been represented on the USBWA All-District team and the 11th Colorado student-athlete in the last 12 years.
 
Walker was one of five players on the NABC All-District 19 Second Team. A total of 10 individuals were honored on the two five-player All-District 19 teams which encompasses the Pac-12 Conference. Walker is the 10th Buffalo selected to one of the NABC All-District teams in the last 12 years.
 
A 2021-22 All-Pac-12 First Team selection, Walker led Colorado at 14.6 points and 9.4 rebounds per game while shooting 46 percent from the field and 78 percent from the foul line. Walker tops the Pac-12 Conference in rebounds, defensive boards (7.3 drpg) and double-doubles (17).
 
Walker's 17 double-doubles rank eighth in the nation and ties for eighth on Colorado's single-season list. He totaled 310 rebounds, ranking 12th on the Buffaloes' single-season chart. He scored in double-figures in 30 of 33 games played.
 
Colorado finished the 2021-22 season at 21-12 overall and placed fourth in the Pac-12 at 12-8. The Buffaloes eclipsed the 20-win mark for the fourth-straight year, advancing to the 2022 National Invitation Tournament (NIT).
