No. 11 USC Finishes 12th in the 200y Free Relay During NCAA Swimming Championships

USC tied for 12th in the 200y free relay to conclude the second day of competition at the 2022 NCAA Swim and Dive Championships in Atlanta, Georgia. 

USC's splash and dash quartet of Anicka Delgado, Laticia Transom, Calypso Sheridan and Kaitlyn Dobler clocked a PR 1:27.84 to finish 12th overall in the 200y free relay, tied with Texas. 

Freshman Caroline Pennington got thing's started for USC during prelims, finishing 45th in the 500y free, posting a 4:46.11.

In the 200y IM, Calypso Sheridan led the Trojans, touching 30th in 1:57.04. Senior Isabelle Odgers finished 34th in 1:57.32 while Nicole Pavlopoulou was 47th in 1:58.26. Junior Aela Janvier finished 71st in 2:00.50.

Four Trojans appeared in the 50y free – Delgado (20th, 22.09), Dobler (45th, 22.45), Hanna Henderson (47th, 22.51) and Transom (53rd, 22.62).

In the diving well, USC's Nike Agunbiade finished 38th with a final score of 256.05. Tomorrow, she'll compete on 3-meter, along with teammates Savannah Stocker and Maddie Huitt.  

Through two evenings of competion, the Women of Troy currently sit in 16th place with 27 total points.

The four-day meet continues tomorrow at 10 a.m. EST with swim prelims.
