Arizona Falls to UCLA in Pac-12 Opener

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – No. 9 Arizona (19-5) fell to the No. 4 Bruins (23-3) 5-0 on Saturday night.  
 
The Cats were kept scoreless by the Bruins. Arizona had a pair of singles from Jasmine Perezchica and Izzy Pacho and two Wildcats were walked.
 
UCLA scored one run in the first inning on a double from Delanie Wisz. The Bruins added one more in the fourth for a 2-0 lead. UCLA scored three in the sixth inning on a solo home run and a pair of RBI singles.
 
Devyn Netz (8-2) struck out two batters but ultimately took the loss against UCLA. Madi Elish entered in relief for Netz in the sixth and retired one Bruin.
