Then, on court two, No. 6 Eryn Cayetano downed Washington's Sarah Maude Fortin 6-1,6-2 to put the Trojans in front. For the second day in a row, Danielle Willson hauled in a point for the Trojans, downing UW's Kelly Leung 6-4, 7-6(10-9) on court six. With a 3-1 lead, the match was clinched on court five as Grace Piper overcame a deficit early in her second match to down UW's Yolanda Lin 7-5, 7-6(2) and give USC the final point needed to win the match.

With the match clinched, action was suspended on courts one and four. On center court, senior #41 Salma Ewing led UW's Vanessa Wong 7-6(0), 5-3. A few courts over, #78 Naomi Cheong and Washington's Sato were locked at 1-6, 6-2, 3-3.
